Media Library

WordPress’s Media Library is a single place where all the media likeโ€” image, audio, video, documents, etc are stored. This library allows user to upload, manage and delete media when creating a post or page.

The Media Library allows a user to:

  • Upload: Upload media using “Add Media” button or drag and drop media.
  • Search: Search and filter media based on file name, file type and upload date.
  • Image Editing: Crop, rotate and resize images right within the Media Library.

Templates

Templates in WordPress allow users to apply a consistent layout to posts and pages. A template is a pre made structure which defines how content is to be displayed. Most WordPress themes come with built in templates. Custom templates can be created using the Site Editor.

  • Page Templates: Used to control the layout of individual pages.
  • Single Post Template: Used to define the structure for blog post pages.
